Bareilly (Uttar Pradesh): Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate Maneka Gandhi on Saturday filed her nomination papers from Aonla parliamentary constituency without any fanfare.
Fifty two-year-old Maneka filed her papers before the Bareilly District Magistrate at collectorate office.
Maneka, who is MP from Pilibhit, reached the collectorate office at about 1145 hrs IST along with some local BJP leaders and filed her nomination papers, district administration sources said.
Varun did not accompany his mother during filing of nomination.
Maneka, who was elected from Pilibhit in the last general elections, had vacated her seat for Varun and shifted to Aonla parliamentary constituency.
