JDU to move privilege notice against Agriculture Minister Radha Mohan Singh

New Delhi: In more trouble for the Narendra Modi government in Parliament, the JDU will move a privilege notice against Agriculture Minister Radha Mohan Singh.

The minister sparked a row over his statement on farmer suicides. Singh had claimed that farmers are committing suicides due to failed love affairs. The Agriculture Minister had listed the reasons for suicide in a reply to Rajya Sabha. He had in fact quoted national crime research bureau records in his reply.

JDU and other opposition parties created a ruckus in the Parliament accusing the Modi government of demeaning farmers.
