Don't withdraw AFSPA from entire J&K: Omar
Abdullah met Chidambaram a day before Jammu and Kashmir interlocutors scheduled to submit their report.

New Delhi: A day before Jammu and Kashmir interlocutors scheduled to submit their report, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Tuesday met Union Home Minister P Chidambaram.

"I am Looking forward to interlocutors reports tomorrow. There is no apprehension of any law and order issue. Interlocutors panel was formed after all-party meet, so looking forward to report being shared with all parties and then getting implemented," said Abdullah after the meeting.

The two leaders also discussed the issues related to withdrawal of Armed Forces Special Power Act (AFSPA) from Jammu and Kashmir.

"AFSPA was discussed with Home Minister," said Abdullah.

The Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister has asked the Home Minister not to plan withdrawal from entire state, but from sections where army is no longer required.

"Would want Disturbed Areas Act and AFSPA to go," said Abdullah.
