Delhi: Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung invites AAP to form government
As no party seems to have the numbers, it seems Delhi is headed for President's Rule and then re-election.

New Delhi: After his meeting with BJP chief ministerial candidate failed to break the stalemate after the Delhi results, Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung has now invited AAP to form government.

This came after Harsh Vardhan said his party will not form the government as it did not have the requisite numbers. The results of the elections to the 70-member Delhi Assembly threw up a badly fractured verdict with BJP and its ally Shiromani Akali Dal winning 32 seats, the debutant Aam Aadmi Party 28, Congress eight, Janata Dal United and an Independent bagging one each.

As no party seems to have the numbers, it seems Delhi is headed for President's Rule and then re-election.

However, "unconditional supports" have been pouring in for AAP, which has won 28 seats in the recently held elections. Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi has said his party is considering giving support to Arvind Kejriwal. AAP convenor has however declined the offer saying that he would not seek support nor support BJP and Congress as they both are corrupt.

What's your reaction?
