The BJP leader was arrested on Saturday and sent to judicial custody for seven days.
Bangalore: Former Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa will stay in hospital for another 24 hours while his lawyers will seek a bail for him on Monday.
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader was arrested on Saturday and sent to judicial custody for seven days by a special Lokayukta court in connection with two cases of denotifying government land.
However, Yeddyurappa's stay in jail was cut short early on Saturday morning after he complained of chest pain.
The BJP, meanwhile, continues to back him, saying they will fight the case legally.
Yeddyurappa's successor Sadananda Gowda, along with his Cabinet ministers, also rushed to visit the former chief minister at the hospital.
