Arvind Kejriwal extends unexpected support to Najeeb Jung, says he is a good man with bad political bosses

New Delhi: As they say in politics, there are no permanent friends or enemies. Politics in Delhi is witnessing a similar thing.

In a sudden development two Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP's from Delhi - Udit Raj and Mahesh Giri - took on Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung, openly attacking him by calling him the new 'king' of Delhi who has no time for the MPs.

It is a well known fact that the ruling AAP and Jang are at loggerheads from day one. The chief minister Arvind Kejriwal has been attacking him almost everyday.

However, Jung got an unexpected support from Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal who has been on loggerheads with the L-G since he took over the top job in Delhi. Shocking the BJP MP's, he rushed to Jung's aid by describing him as a 'good person'.

In a series of tweets, he praised Jung and accused the Narendra Modi government at the Centre for the crisis. His support for Jung is being seen as a clever move by him to embarrass the BJP.

In a semi-state like Delhi, the Lieutenant Governor wields enormous powers. Jung, a former IAS officer and former Vice Chancellor of Jamia Milia Islamia university, was made Lieutenant Governor of Delhi by the previous Congress government at the Centre.
