In a significant turn of events in Bihar politics, Nitish Kumar on Tuesday resigned as Chief Minister of Bihar after ending his alliance with the BJP and staked a claim to form the government by joining hands with Rashtriya Janata Dal-led ‘Mahagathbandhan’.
