Toilet Papers in the Refrigerator? This Bizarre Trend is Gaining Momentum, Here’s Why
People are putting toilet papers in the refrigerator because of a new trend. Here is why.

A bizarre trend which has surfaced on social media requires people to place their toilet papers or tissues inside the refrigerator. Yes, you read that right. But why are they doing this? Let’s find out! According to a report in the New York Post, social media users are saying that toilet paper can help absorb the moisture in the air in the fridge. This can help prevent the bad odour. Although it may not be the most attractive sight, placing a roll of toilet paper in the back of your fridge can help to keep it smelling fresh.

Many TikTok users are posting videos of picking a few toilet paper rolls and placing them in the fridge next to other objects inside. People are accepting this trend to make the washroom sheets their deodoriser.

According to lifestyle and home website Parade, baking soda, which only needs to be swapped every three months compared to toilet paper’s three weeks, is more commonly used to neutralise odours.

This has come as a cost effective method.

This is not the first time that such a bizarre trend has gone viral. Earlier, the Grimace Shake took social media by a storm. The TikTok trend went viral and Forbes has dubbed it the “TikTok Trend of the Summer”. The trend revolved around purple-coloured milkshakes called the Grimace Shake. For those who don’t know, it is a blueberry and cereal-flavoured milkshake introduced by McDonald’s. It was launched to celebrate the birthday of a popular character that features in McDonald’s commercials. Ronald McDonald’s best friend, he was introduced as a character called ‘Evil Grimace’ who stole people’s shakes.

As a part of the trend, people try the Grimace Shake and then pretend to collapse. Basically, they are pretending to be dead or vomiting purple liquid as if they have been poisoned. However, the drink is completely safe and no one has actually been harmed.
