After capping off the Test series against South Africa on a promising note, KL Rahul is currently spending some quality time away from competitive cricket. He was rested for the Afghanistan T20Is as Jitesh Sharma and Sanju Samson were named India’s designated for the 3-match series.

A video of Rahul’s heartwarming gesture, off the field, has now gone viral on social media platform X, formerly Twitter. In the now-viral post, Rahul can be seen stopping a fan who tried to touch his feet in a bid to pay him respect. The touching incident is understood to have taken place after the India wicketkeeper was spotted coming out of a restaurant.

KL Rahul’s heartfelt gesture went viral soon and he was praised by social media users in comments.

KL Rahul has made a remarkable comeback. Taken wicketkeepers role and is the backbone of India’s batting now.

KL Rahul was in sublime form in the first innings of the opening Test against South Africa. Rahul produced a fine knock of 101 in that innings of the Centurion Test against the Proteas. Despite Rahul’s brilliance with the bat, Team India had to concede a defeat by an innings and 32 runs in the Test series opener.

India scripted a resounding comeback in the second match by claiming an emphatic seven-wicket triumph. With this, Rohit Sharma’s men became the first Asian side to win a Test match in Cape Town. Following the game, Rahul seemed elated with the way the visitors clinched a win to avoid the Test series defeat.

The Indian cricket team is now all set to feature in a three-match T20I series against Afghanistan. The opening T20I match is scheduled to be played tonight in Mohali.
