Meanwhile, ISL club Jamshedpur FC announced the signing of Peter Hartley, who led Motherwell FC into the UEFA Europa League 2020-21. Among the women, Pernille Harder became the most expensive female footballer in the world when she signed with Chelsea.

In India, Odisha FC have managed to sign Marcelinho while FC Goa announced the acquisition of midfielder Alberto Noguera as a direct replacement for Hugo Boumous. Also, Hyderabad FC announced the signing of forward Joel Chianese, along with Brazilian midfielder Joao Victor. Among the Indians, Nishu Kumar’s move to Kerala Blasters made him the highest paid Indian defender in the market.
