Twinkle Khanna, Akshay Kumar's Rummy Date Album Is Everything

And now, in the latest post, the former actress and author shared a throwback picture of herself with her husband Akshay Kumar from a Vogue photoshoot.

In the picture, Twinkle and Akshay were all smiles posing in “fancy attires”. Talking about their look, the former actress donned a red gown while the actor opted for a formal look. He wore a white shirt and paired it with black pants. The couple can be seen continuing the tradition of Akshay’s parents of playing rummy with the cards in their own way.

Accompanying the picture, Twinkle Khanna, who goes by the pseudonym Mrs Funny Bones, wrote, “While we play 10 rounds of rummy most evenings, it’s not always in such fancy attire. His parents played cards every night, and I suppose we’ve continued the tradition in our own way. What rituals, big or small, have you upheld?”

Reacting to the post, a user wrote, “Big travel or small my mother-in-law would always make us do Pranam to the gods in her little temple – and then give us some sugar and send us on our way. This ritual continued in my home and is now followed by my kids in their homes. This is the one that has stayed.”

Back in October, Twinkle Khanna unveiled her fourth book Welcome to Paradise on her Instagram account. “Welcome to Paradise, my 4th book, is a collection of stories that explore the depths of heartbreak, relationships, and deception. Some of these characters have lived inside my head for the last five years, and now they are ready to meet all of you (smile emoji). On the work front, having featured in movies such as Baadshah, Joru Ka Ghulam, Mela, and International Khiladi, Twinkle Khanna bid farewell to her acting career in 2001. On January 17, 2001, she tied the knot with Akshay Kumar, and together they have a son, Aarav, and a daughter, Nitara.
