Reports regarding Naga Chaitanya’s personal life, especially after his divorce from Samantha Ruth Prabhu often make headlines. In a recent interview, the actor expressed that all scrutiny on his personal life does not bother him. He shared that people who are close to him know the truth and added that he wants to be remembered because of his craft.
“I really don’t bother about it beyond a point. People close to me will know the truth. Apart from that, I want to be known for my work as an actor more than what’s happening in my personal life. So I try to focus more on my craft, let the movies do the talking. At the end of the day, if my movies are great and entertain the audience, that’s what I want them to remember me for,” Chay told Indian Express.
Samantha and Chaitanya dated for a few years before they tied the knot in 2017. However, the two announced their separation in October 2021 i.e after four years of their marriage. Back then, they had issued a statement asking fans and followers for privacy as they ‘move on’.
“To all our well wishers. After much deliberation and thought Sam and I have decided to part ways as husband and wife to pursue our own paths. We are fortunate to have a friendship of over a decade that was the very core of our relationship which we believe will always hold a special bond between us,” an excerpt from their statement read.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Naga Chaitanya recently made his OTT debut with Dhootha, which is now premiering on Amazon Prime. “When Dhootha came to me, it blew my mind away as this is a genre that I enjoy supernatural thrillers as an audience. As an actor, I haven’t done anything in the past. It allowed me to come out of my comfort zone and push myself as an actor. I want to prove to the audience that I can fit in out of the romantic zone,” the actor told News18 Showsha recently while talking about the series.
