Filmmaker Lokesh known for delivering blockbuster films like Master, Vikram and his latest offering being Leo recently announced launching his own production house. He named his venture G-Squad and issued an official notice regarding the same.
The note read, “Greetings, After directing 5 films, I am delighted to announce the launch of my production venture – G Squad, dedicated towards redefining the landscape of storytelling and entertainment.”
He further added, “The first few productions will feature the work of my close friends and assistants to encourage and promote their creative ideas. I sincerely wish that you all watch, enjoy, and shower the same support that you all have given me so far.”
On a closing note he wrote, “Keep calm and wait for the update of our first production venture. Loads of love, Lokesh Kanagaraj”
Lokesh Kanagaraj has emerged as a significant figure not only in Tamil cinema but nationwide. Following the success of his recent film Leo starring Thalapathy Vijay, he is now preparing for his next project, with Rajinikanth in the lead role.
The upcoming film, tentatively named Thalaivar 171, is set to commence shooting in March or April 2024. In a recent development reported by News18, there are discussions about actor Raghava Lawrence potentially taking on the role of the antagonist in the movie.
After Thalaivar 171, Lokesh Kanagaraj is directing the highly anticipated Kaithi 2 with Karthi. He is also working on a standalone film centred around the character Rolex, portrayed by Suriya. Following this, Kanagaraj is slated to helm Vikram 2 with Kamal Haasan, marking the conclusion of the Lokesh Cinematic Universe (LCU). There are speculations about a potential sequel, Leo 2 in the pipeline as well.
