Karan Johar SCHOOLS Troll Saying 'Bahu Laa Do Maa Ko': 'If I Were To Have a Partner...'
Karan Johar penned down a long note on his Instagram stories and shared that daughters-in-law should not be considered a 'time pass'.

Karan Johar never shies away from talking about the trolling and the negativity he gets on social media. On Thursday, the filmmaker gave a befitting reply to a user who asked him to bring a ‘bahu’ home for his mother’s ‘time pass’. “Bahu laa do maa ko time pass nahi hota hoga (Bring a daughter-in-law home, your mom must be bored),” a comment on one of his recent Instagram posts read. Replying to which, Karan penned down a long note on his Instagram stories and shared that daughters-in-law should not be considered a ‘time pass’.

“Of all the crazy trolls, the abuse and judgment I get about my life choices and my way of being I find comments like these offensive,” KJo wrote and added that “a bahu is a label that comes with ridiculous regressive baggage.”

The filmmaker further shared that his mother helps him co-parent his children, Yash and Roohi. “My mother co-parents my children with me and doesn’t need any “time pass”…her life is complete by the love we receive from her and do our best to give it back with all our heart! And bringing in a “bahu” is not an option to whoever is concerned about my relationship status! My children are blessed to have my mother guide us all,” he wrote.

Before concluding, Karan also made it clear that if he would ever have a life partner, it would be “to fill my void and not anyone else’s!”

This comes days after Karan Johar also lashed out at trolls shaming him for his sexuality. The filmmaker lost his cool while talking to his Koffee With Karan guests, Arjun Kapoor and Aditya Roy Kapur. KJo mentioned that trolls not only make comments regarding his children but also question his mother for “not raising him well”. “I am sexually shamed all the time. They say things about me in the worst,” he said.

“They are talking to me about my sexuality. They are talking to me about me being a single parent. They bring up my kids. That’s when it really fuc*ing gets bad. Then they talk about my mother for not having raised me well enough to take that decision right. I am like, “Who the f**k are you?” the filmmaker added.
