Emma Stone Has The Best Response To Taylor Swift's Reaction To Her Golden Globes Win
This banter between Stone and Swift is nothing new, as the two have shared a close friendship since they first met at the Young Hollywood Awards in 2008.

The Golden Globe Awards are known for their glamour, glitz and star-studded moments, but this year, the spotlight wasn’t only on the winners. Emma Stone, who snagged the award for Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture — Musical or Comedy for her role in Poor Things, took a playful jab at her longtime friend Taylor Swift’s exuberant support during the ceremony.

In a clip shared by Entertainment Tonight, Stone couldn’t help but smirk when asked about Swift’s loud cheering. “What an a**hole, am I right?" she teased, lightening the mood before adding more seriously, “I’ve known her for almost 20 years, and I was very happy she was there. She was also nominated tonight, which was wonderful and, yes, what an a–hole."

This banter between Stone and Swift is nothing new, as the two have shared a close friendship since they first met at the Young Hollywood Awards in 2008. Their camaraderie has been a subject of public fascination, especially given Swift’s release of the re-recorded album Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) last summer. The album features a vault track titled When Emma Falls in Love, sparking speculation that the song is an ode to Stone.

Despite persistent questions about the song’s inspiration on red carpets and talk shows, Stone has remained coy, emphasising that only Taylor Swift can confirm the true meaning behind the lyrics. Taylor Swift, on her part, performed the song during the acoustic set of her Eras Tour stop in Kansas City in July, revealing to the audience that the track was dedicated to “one of [her] best friends."

In addition to being a supportive friend, Taylor Swift was also present at the Golden Globes as a nominee for Cinematic and Box Office Achievement for her record-breaking concert film, Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour. Although she lost out to the summer box office hit, Barbie, Taylor Swift continued to radiate positivity and camaraderie throughout the event.

Stone emerged victorious in the fiercely contested category, outshining Margot Robbie, Natalie Portman, Fantasia Barrino, Alma Pöysti, and even Jennifer Lawrence, who garnered attention with a viral reaction during the segment.
