In a special gesture for his late father, actor Anil Kapoor marked his dad Surinder Kapoor’s 98th birth anniversary. A renowned producer himself, Surinder Kapoor is credited for producing films like Shehzada, Ponga Pandit, Pukar, No Entry, Humara Dil Aapke Paas Hai and many more. The ‘Animal’ actor on his father’s 98th birthday shared a few of his old pictures on Instagram. The photos show the late Surinder Kapoor’s candid moments.
The actor through a sweetest note also expressed his feelings for his dearest dad.
“Celebrating my dad’s birthday today—simple, honest, and a joyous man. He stood tall, exuding handsomeness, and his resonant voice could be heard from miles away. I miss him dearly, yet his voice echoes within me, bringing warmth to every day of my life,” the actor wrote on Instagram.

In reaction to the picture, Anil Kapoor’s brother-actor Sanjay Kapoor dropped a heart emoji in the comment section, while fans also shared their best wishes.
On the other hand, Sanjay Kapoor also took to his Instagram story and shared a picture of his dad. “Happy birthday dad,” he wrote.
Producer Boney Kapoor also shared a post, dedicating it to his late father. “Happy birthday Papa, 1 short of a Century,” Boney wrote in the caption.

Notably, last year, Anil Kapoor shared two throwback photos, featuring Surinder Kapoor with late actor Dilip Kumar from an event. “When the great Dilip Kumar looks with so much warmth and love in his eyes for my father… who was just an assistant in Mughal-e-Azam, shows how much my dad was loved and respected as a human being,” wrote Anil Kapoor in the caption.
About Surinder Kapoor
The first cousin of Prithviraj Kapoor, Surinder Kapoor started his career as a secretary to actor Geeta Bali and later became a film producer, helming several big films.
In 1955, he got married to Nirmal and together they have three kids, sons Boney Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, and Sanjay Kapoor, and daughter Reena Kapoor Marwah.
Surinder died of cardiac arrest in September 2011.
Anil Kapoor’s Upcoming Projects
While the year 2023 has turned out to be quite triumphant for Anil Kapoor, he delivered back-to-back successes with The Night Manager and Animal. Next, he will be seen in Siddharth Anand’s Fighter, where the actor takes on the role of a group commanding officer.
Set to hit theatres on 25 January 2024, the film also features actors Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone in prominent roles.
