Anil Kapoor returned as the famous Arun Bhaiya aka Mr India in a new video but it is not for Mr India 2. A day after Anil removed all his posts and display picture on Instagram, the actor appeared in a video playing Arun Bhaiya but it was for an ad. In the video, Anil was seen wearing the same clothes as Arun from the film — coffee brown bucket hat, matching blazer and pants with a shirt. He was also seen sporting the magical watch that made him disappear in the film.
With a sidekick by his side, Anil breaks into a house and recovers a gadget. Soon enough, we learn that the gadget is a Google phone and it is an ad for the phone. While the surprise was welcomed, fans were in shock that Anil looks the same as he did in 1987, when Mr India had released.
“How in this earth is it freaking possible that this man is still looking the same even after almost 35 years, since this film was released?” a fan asked. “Was this commercial shot in 1987 and kept in the cold storage until now?? Because How’s this even possible? Time can’t freeze!! ” actor Nikhil Dwivedi added. “Mr India’s sequel should have come out already Even this recreation in a mobile phone ad gave me goosebumps,” added another. “My goodness, He is a Vampire!! He don’t age…,” a third user wrote.
Many also demanded Mr India 2. “Just make the sequel already!” a comment read. “Sir one’s again mister India movie fir se banao,” a comment read. Watch the video below:
Boney Kapoor had previously expressed his wish to make Mr India 2. However, there has been no update about it since.
For the unversed, Mr India was released in 1987 and was produced by Boney Kapoor. The film starred Anil Kapoor as a man who manages an orphanage and gains access to a watch that makes him invisible. The film also starred Sridevi, who played the role of a stern journalist. Directed by Shekhar Kapur, the film also starred Amrish Puri as Mogambo, Satish Kaushik as Calendar, Harish Patel as Roopchand, and Annu Kapoor as Editor Gaitonde. Mr India was a super hit.
