When Actress Kshitee Jog Gave This Befitting Reply To Person Taunting Her For Not Wearing Mangalsutra

Marathi actress Kshitee Jog and director Hemant Dhome are known for their successful stints in many films and television. They have been married for 12 years now and have been a pillar of support for each other in the industry. In a recent interaction with a portal, Kshitee shared interesting aspects related to her personal life including marriage.

The Sunny actress remembered that on a certain occasion, she had gone to a function after one and a half years of marriage and was not wearing her mangalsutra. In that function, someone questioned why the actress was not wearing the mangalsutra despite being newly married.

Kshitee gave a befitting reply to that person and said that both Hemant and her are aware of their marital relations. Therefore, she doesn’t care about the fact that what others think of her. Kshitee added that she loves to wear mangalsutra, saree and a gajra as well but will wear them according to her wishes.

On the work front, besides working on many projects, Kshitee and Hemant have also teamed up together on a few projects including Jhimma. Jhimma and its sequel have become commercial hits and now there are reports that Bollywood director-producer Karan Johar has decided to make its Hindi remake. In an interview with Lokmat Filmi, Kshitee and Jhimma’s director Hemant, talked about this.

Kshitee said, “This film will not be made in Hindi so soon. Currently, only discussion is going on and Jhimma’s Hindi remake will not be released in 2024 as pointed out in reports. I will never oppose a remake of this movie as it is a women’s story. Films should be made in all languages. Only our characters should be presented as honestly as they are. If that honesty is maintained, I will be most happy as an actor and producer of this film.”

Shivani Surve, Rinku Rajguru, Sayali Sanjeev, Nirmiti Sawant, and others have also acted in this film. A critic wrote that Jhimma 2 is a strong female-centric film with powerful storytelling. Jhimma 2 revolves around the life of women of different ages and socio-cultural backgrounds.
