Watch: Anand Mahindra Takes The Futuristic Bujji From Kalki 2898 AD For A Test Drive
Anand Mahindra lauded director Nag Ashwin for bringing a "landmark" sci-fi film to India.

Ever since director Nag Ashwin and Prabhas unveiled Bujji, the one-of-a-kind custom-made six-tonne beast of a car that plays sidekick to Prabhas in Kalki 2898 AD, the curiosity around the vehicle continues to remain at its peak. While makers are trying a lot of creative ways to promote Bujji, business magnate Anand Mahindra has now gotten his hands on it. An avid social media user, Anand Mahindra recently shared a video of him riding the futuristic vehicle, which resembles the Batmobile.

The video was originally shared by the film’s official X handle with visuals of the industrialist driving the Bujji. The video captures Mahindra’s amazement as he witnesses the three-wheeler electric vehicle. After taking a tour of it, he took Bujji for a test drive. Later, he shared a picture of himself with the massive vehicle and his own personal car. “The mission was to invade Mumbai. But at Mahindra Towers in Worli, #Bujji ran into its cousin—my scarlet ScorpioN—and negotiated a peace treaty,” Anand Mahindra wrote.

Additionally, he also lauded director Nag Ashwin for bringing a “landmark” sci-fi film to India. “My good wishes are with everyone who dreams THIS big,” his post concluded.

Notably, the concept of Bujji was coined by the director himself, following which he approached Anand Mahindra for his assistance. The industrialist keenly engaged his team and initiated a partnership with Jayem Automotive in Coimbatore to create the vehicle. It runs on two Mahindra e-motors. Earlier, Anand Mahindra was seen cheering on Bujji’s debut on the microblogging platform. “We’re so proud of Nag Ashwin and his tribe of filmmakers who aren’t afraid to think big…and I mean REALLY big…” he wrote.
