Watch: Abhay Deol Turns DJ, Brings The House Down At A Gig In Kolkata
Abhay has taken to DJing for quite some time now and recently, he had a successful gig in Kolkata.

Abhay Deol has often left the audience mesmerised with his performances on screen. It has indeed been a treat for fans to watch him take on diverse and intense roles over the years. But it seems, the actor is now inclined towards DJing and is excelling in this field as well. He recently performed a gig in Kolkata and shared some unseen glimpses from the night on social media. The actor surely enjoyed taking over the console and thanked the crowd for making the event successful.

Abhay Deol shared a clip from the event on his Instagram handle with the caption, “The place ain’t lit till the people ain’t dancin. Kolkata, you are definitely lit. Some snippets from the night, listen with headphones on if you want to get a glimpse of my set.” The actor was seen grooving as he played music on the console while the crowd cheered and danced along.

His fans were quite excited to get a glimpse of their favourite actor behind the DJ console. One of them commented, “Party all night, love you Abhay!” A fan who was present for the event expressed, “I was there, the music was superb. Looking forward to having you with us soon,” while another stated, “What a set last night.” For some time now, the actor has been DJing at clubs.

Meanwhile, the actor’s inclination to explore various realms of music has been quite evident with the projects he has been choosing to do lately. Some time back, Abhay Deol collaborated with international EDM artist PIA for the music video Follow the Toad, directed by Joe Sill. Reportedly, the video was recorded in a single day. It also boasts of cutting-edge virtual production techniques that transport viewers to a fantasy realm. Speaking about his virtual production experience, the actor stated that in acting, tools are essential for bringing characters to life. However, relying on green screens and visualising scenarios proved difficult.

On the acting front, he was last seen in Trial by Fire. It was a Netflix limited series based on the 1997 Uphaar Cinema fire. Prashant Nair directed the series, which also starred Rajshri Deshpande opposite Abhay. The actor will soon be seen in the film Bun Tikki with Shabana Azmi and Zeenat Aman. It is directed by Faraz Arif Ansari, and produced by Jio Studios and acclaimed fashion designer Manish Malhotra’s Stage 5 Productions.
