Upendra Rao’s upcoming movie titled UI is making a lot of buzz among cinegoers. Recently, the makers of the movie dropped a catchy song titled Troll that has quickly become viral. The movie is expected to be different, as the director has quite a unique style. Now, there is an update for Upendra fans, who are eagerly waiting for the release of UI — which is touted to be a surrealist action thriller film. As per reports, the muhurta for the UI movie has been fixed. Cinegoers may get to watch the movie before Ugadi festivities. The movie is reportedly slated to release on April 5, 2024. There has been no confirmation regarding this news till now.

UI is said to be a technical marvel which is set to showcase some of the latest and unique ideas of Upendra. It has been reportedly made on a budget of Rs 100 crore. The film will also show a 3D body scan, which will be the first Asian film to do so. The movie will also have virtual reality and other advanced technological innovations, which are expected to bring the Kannada movie industry glory and fame. Upendra’s UI is all set to feature actors like Upendra in the lead along with Reeshma Nanaiah, Murali Sharma, Sunny Leone, Nidhi Subbaiah, Sadhu Kokila, Murali Krishna and Indrajit Lankesh, to name a few. It will be bankrolled by Lahari Films and Venus Entertainers. The movie was first announced in June 2022 and ever since the anticipation for the movie has increased.

As per reports, UI is one of the biggest movies in Kannada and is being made on a grand scale. The makers are making the movie to make it a memorable big-screen experience instead of OTT platforms. It was supposed to be released by the of 2023, however now it will be released on April 5.

Speaking of Upendra’s work life, he shot to fame in the 90s as a writer and director. He has delivered cult movies like Shhh!, Om, A, Upendra, Super and Uppi 2. His unique and eccentric ideas have been embraced by the viewers and critics alike.
