'Until We Meet Again': South Actress Meera Jasmine Pays Moving Tribute To Her Father

Recently, the demise of actress Meera Jasmine’s father, Joseph Philip has left everyone shocked. As per reports, her father breathed his last in Ernakulam, Kerala and died at the age of 83 due to age-related issues. The actress shared a monochrome photo and a few family pics to break the news of her father’s death on social media and mourn the loss.

On April 4, Meera Jasmine dropped a few photos of her father on Instagram. One of the photos was of a monochrome click of the late Joseph Philip as a young man. The next two photos were family pictures that they have clicked over the years. In one of the photos, Meera Jasmine, dressed in white attire with a green dupatta can be seen standing behind her father, who is seated casually on a chair. The caption read, “Until we meet again” and she added a heart and infinity emoji and tagged a few of her family members.

Her fans and admirers left condolence messages and wished the family strength to face the grief. A user wrote, “Aathmashanthi.” Another commented, “May your father’s noble soul rest in heavenly peace for eternity. Om Shanti.” “I know Meera this feeling, God bless you with the strength to overcome this”, read a message.

As per media reports, Meera Jasmine’s father was suffering from age-related illnesses. Earlier, he stayed in Mumbai and then later relocated to Tirumala and then to his hometown, Ernakulam later. He is survived by his wife Aleyamma, and his children Meera Jasmine, Sarah Robin Joseph, Jeni Susan Joseph and George Joseph. Reportedly, the last rites will be held on Saturday, while the funeral will be performed on Sunday.

Meera Jasmine is synonymous with her works like Kasthuriman, Padam Onnu Oru Vilapam and Gramaphone. The actress marked her debut in the acting world with the Malayalam movie Soothradharan in 2001. In 2002, she marked her debut in the Tamil industry with Run which shot her to fame. Soon after, she became a sought-after actress in the Telugu industry too. She was last seen in the Malayalam movie, Queen Elizabeth, directed by M Padmakumar. It also starred Narain, Shweta Menon, Johny Antony, Neena Kurup, Jude Anthany Joseph, Manju Pathros, and VK Prakash. She is currently gearing up for her upcoming movie The Test starring R Madhavan, Siddharth and Nayanthara in the lead roles.
