This Actress, Who Worked With Salman Khan, Quit Showbiz To Follow Her Religion

Be it the Aashiqui star Anu Aggarwal or Dangal actress Zaira Wasim, a handful of stars quit showbiz to embrace spirituality or dedicate their life to religion. One such actress distanced herself from the entertainment industry and acting. She was quite a prominent face in the Hindi and South film industry and later announced her retirement from showbiz.

Sana Khan has worked in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu films in her short career spanning in the entertainment industry. For the last four years, she has stepped away from the industry. She has decided to dedicate her life to her religion. The actress first marked her debut in the 2005 low-budget film Yehi Hai High Society. In 2006, she marked her debut in the Tamil industry with E in an item number Theepori Parakkum. Over the years, the actress appeared in over 50 television commercials and other ads.

Sana Khan shot to fame with her stint on the reality show Bigg Boss 6. She was also seen in Salman Khan’s Jai Ho, directed by Sohail Khan and starred Salman Khan, Tabu, Daisy Shah, Danny Denzongpa and Aditya Pancholi. The film also saw Suniel Shetty and Genelia D’Souza in cameo roles. She has worked in films like Dhan Dhana Dhan Goal, Halla Bol, Wajah Tum Ho and Toilet: Ek Prem Katha. Apart from Hindi, she starred in Tamil films like Silambattam, Thambikku Indha Ooru, Payanam and Thalaivan to name a few. Sana Khan has starred opposite Telugu actor Kalyan Ram in the film Kalyanram Kathi and Manoj Manchu in Mr Nookayya.

She was last seen in Special OPS, which was released in 2020. In the same year, she announced quitting the industry and “serve humanity and follow the order of her Creator.” This announcement came when her breakup with choreographer Melvin Louis was highly publicised. In February 2019, she made her relationship with him public, and the next year, it ended bitterly.

In November 2020, Sana Khan married a Muslim cleric named Mufti Anas Sayed. In July 2023, the couple embraced parenthood after they welcomed their first child, a son, whom they named Saiyad Tariq Jamil.
