Thalapathy Vijay’s upcoming film GOAT is one of the highly anticipated films of this year. Starring in the 68th film of his career, the actor will be seen in a dual role alongside actor Prabhu Deva. It is directed by Venkat Prabhu. The music of the film is composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja.
It was believed that the film would be based on time travel and so the lead actor Thalapathy Vijay will be seen in a double role. However, as per reports, the plot of GOAT has leaked on the internet and it does not mention the time travel angle of the film. The film is slated to release in theatres worldwide on September 5.
According to reports, GOAT is about catching the terrorists who were involved in the suicide attack on the Moscow Metro in Russia in 2004. 41 people were reportedly killed in this attack. Thalapathy Vijay along with his team will be reportedly catching the perpetrators of these terrorist attacks in the film.
The recent update of the film aligns with the latest ruckus caused by the makers when they were filming the accident sequences of the film in Puducherry. The production team had permission to use explosives for action scenes, but the loud noises and vibrations alarmed many unsuspecting residents. The incident occurred on Old Port Road during a scene involving bombs and SUV crashes. The explosions caused significant panic among locals who were unaware of the filming.
The shooting of GOAT has been completed in Chennai, Hyderabad, Kerala and Moscow. The final shoot is currently underway. The team has reportedly jetted off to the US for the filming of its climax scenes. Thalapathy Vijay has completed 50 per cent of the film’s dubbing. In a recent update, the film’s music composer Yuvan Shankar Raja has revealed that for the first time, Thalapathy Vijay has lent his voice to two songs in a film. Song Whistle Podu from the film has already been released by the makers.
