Ted Lasso Heading For Season 4 With OG Cast Members? Here's What We Know
After months of speculations, reports now suggest that the Apple TV+ show, Ted Lasso is getting ready for Season 4.

Nearly a year and a half after the successful third season of Ted Lasso aired on Apple TV+, the show is preparing for its next chapter. Warner Bros. Television is moving ahead with Ted Lasso Season 4, with the original cast members set to return. According to a Variety report, options for the British cast, including Hannah Waddingham, Brett Goldstein and Jeremy Swift, have been renewed. These actors were previously under contract with the UK acting union Equity. Additionally, Jason Sudeikis may also join the team in a new role as an executive producer.

An official confirmation is yet to be received. After confirming the trio, known for playing Rebecca Walton, Roy Kent and Leslie Higgins, respectively, the studio is likely to reach out to others with SAG-AFTRA contracts to make new deals.

On the other hand, another Ted Lasso OG, Phil Dunster, known for paying Jamie Tart, has not been picked, reportedly due to certain conflicts with another series. Presently, he is on Prime Video’s The Devil’s Hour and Apple’s Surface. Notably, discussions for the next season have been in the air since the show went on-air. Earlier in January, Warner Bros. TV CEO Channing Dungey teased about the possibility of the series continuation.

“I mean, you watched the finale; there’s a little bit of a door that could be kicked back open if need be. I wouldn’t put the period at the end of that sentence just yet. Should the opportunity arise, we’d be excited to jump back into making more. There are always ongoing conversations, but nothing’s official,” he told Variety.

About Tad Lasso

The show focuses on Jason Sudeikis’s leading character, a small-time college football coach who is hired to coach a professional soccer team in England.

In the third season, Lasso quits as a manager and flies to the US to coach his son’s football team, suggesting a happy ending to his coaching saga. But with the fourth season now in the works, it seems that there’s still more to his story. While plot details are not yet revealed, it is for sure that our beloved moustached coach will be back once again on the field.
