The popular Kannada TV serial Naakutanti, which was aired on the channel Udaya TV, recently clocked 20 years. To make the occasion extra special, the cast and production members of the telly show reunited and relived their beautiful old days. Bigg Boss Kannada 10 fame Namrata Godwa took to social media and dropped a string of group pictures from the show’s 20th-anniversary celebrations
Apart from her, Naakutanti serial producer Shailaja Nag, Director B Suresh, Srinath Vasishtha, Sita Kote, Nagesh Maya, Sujatha and BM Venkatesh were also present at the gathering. In the snapshots, the entire team could be seen celebrating 20 years of Naakutanti by cutting a cake and taking group pictures. In one of the pictures, the team is seen sitting inside a restaurant.
One of the pictures depicts Gowda happily posing with the director of the show B Suresh and actress Shailaja Nag. Sharing the pictures on Instagram, Gowda wrote, “20 years to Naakutanti. The heart is full.”
Soon after Gowda dropped the heartwarming pictures, her fans and admirers swamped down the comments section and shared their reactions. An Instagram user wrote, “Nostalgic.” Another one commented, “Beautiful family.”
Actress Sujatha also shared a montage on Instagram which captured a few glimpses of the show’s 20-year celebrations. She captioned the post, “Our very famous TV serial Naakutanti which started airing on Udaya TV 20 years ago, was a superhit. We actors and technicians decided to meet up and cherish those beautiful memories and landed up at our shooting house which is now a beautiful restaurant. Beautiful memories and totally nostalgic.”
First aired in the year 2004, Naakutanti was among the most loved Kannada TV shows. With its engaging storyline and cast performances the show has been ruling the hearts of thousands of fans. In the show, Namrata Gowda played the role of actress Sita Kote’s daughter.
The title track of the show was adapted from the poem Nanu-Neenu-Anu-Tanu from the Nakuthanti poetry collection by author D.Ra.Bendra. The track was sung by singer Fayaz Khan and was composed by music director Hamsalekha. The show’s title track garnered widespread appreciation and is still remembered by the fans even after 20 years of its release.
