Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) cruised through the final of the Indian Premier League (IPL) on the back of a dominant win over Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) on Tuesday, May 21. With only two wickets down, the Purple Knights crossed the 159-run target, scoring 164. The match held at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad witnessed a massive influx of sports enthusiasts. Shah Rukh Khan — the co-owner of the KKR team was also in attendance, alongside his daughter-actress Suhana Khan and son AbRam. Suhana’s BFFs Ananya Panday and Shanaya Kapoor were present too, cheering for the team.

In light of KKR’s victory, Suhana Khan, Ananya Panday and Shanaya Kapoor celebrated the joyous occasion by sharing special glimpses from the Ahmedabad Stadium on social media. On their respective Instagram Stories, Suhana and Shanaya dropped a picture of the giant screen announcing that “KKR won by 8 wickets” and qualified for the finals.

Ananya Panday put out a video on her Instagram Stories capturing a brief glimpse of Shah Rukh Khan clapping for his team. The superstar’s face was not visible as his back was turned away from the camera. The clip also featured the players on the field and the frenzied crowd in the background. “See you in the finals baby,” wrote Ananya, tagging KKR to the post.

In another Instagram drop, Shanaya Kapoor shared the same frame with Ananya Panday. Both twinned in white KKR jerseys. They sported minimal makeup and left their hair open, flashing beaming smiles. The Kho Gaye Hum Kahan actress re-shared the photo on her Stories later on.

Post KKR’s triumph, Shah Rukh Khan entered the cricket ground for the lap of honour. The official Instagram handles of IPL and KKR shared pictures and videos of King Khan greeting his fans. The crowd reverberated with SRK chants as the Jawan alum waved at his admirers, folded his hands graciously and showed them a thumb-up gesture. Shah Rukh won the hearts of his admirers all over again by displaying his iconic extended arm pose. He was dressed in a white shirt and denim jeans. Uber-cool sunglasses and a messy man bun completed his suave look.
