Stree 2 Box Office Collections Day 3: Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao starrer Stree 2 is unstoppable at the box office. The film, which released on Independence Day, clashed with Akshay Kumar’s Khel Khel Mein and John Abraham’s Vedaa. Despite clashing with two big films, Stree 2 has emerged victoriously at the box office. As per early estimates, Stree 2 has collected Rs 135.7 Cr by the end of its third day in the cinemas.
As per Sacnilk.com, the film witnessed a massive jump on Saturday as compared to Friday’s collection. It is reported that Stree 2 earned an estimate of Rs 44 Cr on Saturday alone. On Friday, Stree 2 recorded a box office collection of Rs 31.4 Cr. Stree 2 could see a rise on Sunday and might benefit from the Raksha Bandhan holiday on Monday.
“Stree 2 had an overall 61.96% Hindi Occupancy on Saturday, August 17, 2024,” the report stated, adding that the highest occupancy was recorded in the night shows. The report said that the occupancy of the night shows was about 81 per cent. Stree 2 witnessed highest occupancies in Mumbai, Delhi-NCR, Pune and Bengaluru.
Rajkummar Rao reacted to the impressive box office opening. Taking to his Instagram account, Rajkummar shared the news that Stree 2 has entered Rs 100 Cr club and wrote, “Blessings to God and to all of you. Heartfelt thanks.”
As the trailer hinted, Stree 2 revolves around a new demon terrorising Chanderi. This time, a headless monster is kidnapping women in the dead of night, prompting the return of Stree. Chanderi is once again in peril, and Vicky (Rajkummar Rao) and his friends—played by Pankaj Tripathi, Abhishek Banerjee, and Aparshakti Khurana—are on a mission to save the village. They are joined by the mysterious “Girl With No Name” (Shraddha Kapoor), who warns them that they have only a few days to defeat the demon, or else all will be lost.
Stree 2 was released six years after the first Stree hit cinemas.
