It's raining movies and looks like Ranveer Singh is making the most of it. Yes! The actor, who is all set to begin the shoot of Gully Boys early next year, has collaborated with director Rohit Shetty for a new film Simmba.
Ranveer took to Twitter to announce the project, which will be co-produced by Karan Johar's Dharma Productions. The actor also shared his first look from the film which reminds us of none other than Salman Khan's notorious police officer Chulbul Pandey in Dabangg.

Last night, both Ranveer and Karan hinted that they'd be making a big announcement on their social media accounts.
While Karan tweeted, "BIG ANNOUNCEMENT tomorrow morning!!!! Extremely excited about this collaboration!!!! Watch this space...", Ranveer wrote, "A ‘notorious’ surprise coming your way tomorrow ;) Stay Tuned...!"

If a report in Times Now is to be believed, Simmba is a remake of Jr. NTR's Telugu blockbuster Temper. The new film, which is set to release on December 28 next year, will see Ranveer in the role of a cop named Sangram Bhalerao aka Simmba.
