Salman Khan and Rashmika Mandanna recently filmed a lively, festive song for their upcoming movie Sikandar. Composed by Pritam, the track showcases an impressive 200 background dancers, adding to its energetic vibe.

The excitement surrounding Salman Khan and Rashmika Mandanna’s upcoming film, Sikandar, has been steadily increasing. Recent reports suggest that the lead pair recently filmed a festive song accompanied by 200 background dancers. This celebratory track was composed by Pritam.

According to a report from Midday, Salman Khan, after taking a break from intense action sequences, shot for a vibrant song alongside Rashmika Mandanna for Sikandar. The song, set against the backdrop of the slums of Dharavi, was filmed at Goregaon’s SRPF Ground on a specially constructed set.

“The song features 200 background dancers and portrays the slum dwellers in a festive mood. Rashmika joined the crew on Thursday. Salman sports a unique look in the song, wearing a customized silver chain, earrings, a black vest, and a full-sleeved shirt paired with denim. Rashmika embraces a traditional look with a salwar kameez. Murugadoss has nearly completed the song’s shoot, and the team will shift focus to action sequences over the weekend,” a source shared with the publication.

The report adds that if the current schedule progresses as planned, the Mumbai shoot will extend until October. Afterward, the team will travel to Europe by the end of the year to shoot two romantic songs. It was previously reported that due to a rib injury, Salman initially filmed lighter action scenes.

Earlier, Pinkvilla reported that Salman began a 45-day shooting schedule for the movie in Mumbai in August. A source revealed that parts of Mumbai were recreated on a massive set in a local studio.

“It took more than three months to build the set, and the makers invested heavily to ensure the authenticity of every detail. This is a crucial schedule for Sikandar, as it involves shooting not just the action scenes but also emotional and dramatic sequences,” the source said.

Since its announcement on Eid earlier this year, Sikandar has generated immense buzz. Directed by AR Murugadoss, the film stars Salman Khan, Rashmika Mandanna, Sathyaraj, Prateik Babbar, and Kajal Aggarwal in pivotal roles. It is set for release on Eid 2025.
