A short film titled Mukti by Aaryan Saxena has been chosen for the Cannes Film Festival.
The crime thriller, Mukti, deals with the life of Sunny who, desperate to pay his dues, turns to stealing, and almost gets injured in the process, which is when he is saved by Saddhya. But Sunny holds Saddhya hostage in her home which is when things take a turn for the worst. But who is the victim and who is the perpetrator forms the rest of the story.
Writer turned director Aaryan's friends from showbiz congratulated him for his film being selected for the esteemed festival.
Produced by Puneet Rege, the movie stars Upesh Jangwal, Jameel Khan and Kishwar Merchant in pivotal roles.
The annual Cannes Film Festival commenced on May 8 and will conclude on May 19.
