Do Aur Do Pyaar, the award-winning ad-filmmaker Shrisha Guha Thakurta’s directorial starring Vidya Balan, Pratik Gandhi, Illeana D’Cruz, and Sendhil Ramamurthy has been getting positive reviews from the audiences since its release. The rom-com film talks about the complexities of urban relationships, love, and extra-marital affairs. Reviews are pouring in from all corners; recently several B-town stars Taapsee Pannu expressed their admiration for the Vidya Balan starrer film.
The latest one to join the bandwagon is veteran star Shabana Azmi. In a post shared by the popular paparazzo Manav Manglani, featuring the film’s ratings by several media outlets, Azmi commented, “I loved the film. Direction is very good by Shirsha Guha Thakurta. But finally, it is the actors who make the film Vidya Balan, Pratik Gandhi are excellent. Vidya is easily the best actor we have today and Pratik is such a versatile actor. Do Aur Do Pyaar follows the story of a couple, Kavya (played by Vidya) and Anirudh (played by Pratik) who had been married for 12 years but have somehow lost that spark in their relationship. In order to make their life better, both of them indulge in extra-marital affairs. But life had other plans for them. The couple falls back in love with each other after a trip to Ooty brings back their sweet memories.
Upon receiving positive word of mouth for her performance in the film, Vidya recently took to her Instagram and expressed gratitude. She shared a video in which she said, “Really happy by the all the love we’ve been receiving for Do aur Do Pyaar. Thank you so much. My heart is full of love, joy, gratitude, and smile.”
On professional front, Shabana Azmi will be next seen in renowned fashion designer Manish Malhotra’s production venture Bun Tikki which also stars another veteran star Zeenat Aman and Abhay Deol in the lead roles. The official release date of the film is still awaited. In addition, she will be playing a crucial role in actor Sunny Deol starrer period drama film Lahore, 1947.
