Salman Khan Judement Day: Father Salim Khan says he will stand by the court's verdict
Salman Khan's father, writer Salim Khan, has previously gone on record to say that he will not comment on his son's innocence but will stand by the court's verdict.

Mumbai: It's an anxious wait for Salman Khan's family. The hit-and-run case has stretched for 13 years and the family is hoping that the actor gets a fair verdict.

Salman Khan's father, writer Salim Khan, has previously gone on record to say that he will NOT comment on his son's innocence but will stand by the court's verdict.

During an episode of 'Koffee With Karan' in 2013, in which the father-son duo appeared together, Salim Khan said, "He is a bad judge of people. He will learn from experience ... people those who want to con you or take advantage of you."

"Like what the press says about him. I don't blame them- most of it was true, there is no smoke with fire. I have never defended him. So many things have happened. The matter is sub judice so the court will decide but I will never say he has not done that," said senior Khan.

The writer further added, "I get emotional also. When we went to meet him in Jodhpur, they said '343 ko le aao' and he came. I went back home and I was having my drink and I was thinking about that scene and suddenly I could feel tears coming out of my eyes."

Salman's youngest brother, filmmaker and actor Sohail Khan spoke to CNN IBN and said, "Let it take its course, I mean its been very long and its been pending, its been a hanging sword, so either ways its all going to be over and done with. We have all our prayers with him and we feel that justice should prevail."
