Fans are awaiting confirmation on whether Taylor Swift will make a special appearance or cameo in Deadpool & Wolverine.

There’s much speculation and anticipation among Swifties and Marvel fans alike about Taylor Swift possibly joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), particularly in the upcoming Deadpool & Wolverine film. Rumours of Taylor’s involvement have been circulating for months and recent developments have only heightened the excitement. Fans are eagerly awaiting confirmation whether the beloved popstar will make a special appearance or cameo in the anticipated MCU installment.

Recently, Ryan Reynolds, the star of the much-awaited film Deadpool, teased fans with a hint on social media. Taking to Instagram, he shared a photo on his Stories where he recreated a crossover cover featuring Swift’s album Evermore and Deadpool’s iconic poster. The image shows Deadpool standing against a misty white forest backdrop, reminiscent of the Evermore album cover.

In addition to the photo, Ryan Reynolds also shared Taylor Swift’s title track from the album Evermore featuring Bon Iver. With this significant hint, many are interpreting it as a subtle confirmation that Swift will be appearing in the film.

Earlier this year at CimenaCon, Deadpool & Wolverine‘s director Shawn Levy had talked to Entertainment Tonight and said, “You know I can’t answer. All of America knows I can’t answer that. That is hardly confirmed or denied in this interview. The proliferation of rumours about who is and isn’t in this movie–it’s fabulous. No one will ever know the truth until July 26.”

Swift is only one of several rumoured cameos in Deadpool & Wolverine. Other notable names such as Oscar winner Halle Berry and Kingsman franchise star Taron Egerton are potential features and will portray Storm and a Wolverine variant respectively. Swift has been linked to multiple roles for her potential cameo including that of Dazzler, Lady Deadpool and The Blonde Phantom. The pop singer has also, in the past, reportedly hinted at a Deadpool & Wolverine appearance on her latest album, The Tortured Poets Department.

While Reynolds and director Shawn Levy have been hinting at Swift’s potential involvement for months now, they have neither confirmed nor denied her potential cameo.

Deadpool & Wolverine will be released in the theatres on July 26.
