Richa Chadha and Ali Fazal are on cloud nine, having welcomed their first child, a daughter, into their lives in July. While the actor couple is taking some time off from their professional commitments to spend time with their newborn baby, they often take to their social media accounts to share life updates with their fans and followers. Recently, the Heeramandi actress shared a short clip of herself on her Instagram stories. In the video, Richa flaunted a minimalistic look in a T-shirt and messy hair while making a few funny faces.
Sharing the video, she wrote, “Talk to me about minimalism. I am living in 2 sets of t-shirts and pajamas right now,” and added “socially distant” and crying dog stickers on it.

Earlier, Richa uploaded a then-and-now video featuring her journey with her husband Ali, from being co-stars to parents. The video began with a picture of the duo from their 2013 comedy-drama Fukrey, with “How it started” written atop it. Then, in the next clip, Ali was seen cradling their newborn daughter in his arms, which features “How it’s going” on it. Sharing the video, Richa wrote, “From “let’s touch his elbow with my elbow for this photo op” to the baby resting its head on the same elbow, we have come a long way. As you can see, literally our hands are full, so not being able to post often. K thanks bye!”

In February, the actor couple announced that they were soon going to become a family of three. Sharing a collaborative post, Ali wrote, “A tiny heartbeat is the loudest sound in our world.” On July 16, Richa gave birth to their baby girl, and the couple issued a statement to the media saying, “We are tickled pink with joy to announce the arrival of a healthy baby girl on 16.07.24! Our families are overjoyed, and we thank our well-wishers for their love and blessings!”
On the work front, Richa was last seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s OTT debut project Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar, co-starring Manisha Koirala, Sonakshi Sinha, Aditi Rao Hydari, Sanjeeda Shaikh and Sharmin Segal. The actress, who played Lajjo in the series, received much praise for her brief role. Richa and Ali have also ventured into production with Pushing Buttons Studios, and their first film, Girls Will Be Girls, will release in NYC on September 13.
