Deepika Padukone had left everyone in awe with her first look as the lady Singham in Singham 3. In Rohit Shetty’s latest cop film, she will portray the character Shakti Shetty. He recently amplified everyone’s expectations by unveiling yet another swagger look of Deepika Padukone in his latest social media post. And her husband, Ranveer Singh, turns out to be her biggest cheerleader.
Ranveer took to his Instagram stories and shared Deepika’s Lady Singham look and called her ‘sherni’. Deepika looked elegant donning the Khaki uniform. With a colourful backdrop, Deepika can be seen emulating the famous hand gesture of Ajay Devgn from the first Singham film, with sunglasses on. Sharing the same, Rohit Shetty had earlier penned the caption, “MY HERO… REEL MEIN BHI AUR REAL MEIN BHI LADY SINGHAM!!! @deepikapadukone.”
Deepika has a prominent role in the movie. Back in 2023, Rohit Shetty said that Singham Again would feature Deepika as one of the heroes. He said, “She is like one of the heroes, and what we are doing with it is that we will go with her story. We will make a film that has only Deepika. It is her story. Like Sooryavanshi, Singham, and Simmba, the films had already been made and people knew about them, but with Singham again, we are introducing these characters, and then we will tell their stories.”
The film, featuring Ajay Devgn in the lead role along with Ranveer Singh, was announced by the director on the first day of Navratri in October last year. Rohit, while unveiling the first look, revealed that Deepika would be essaying the role of the most ‘brutal and violent’ cop in his cop universe. In the first-look poster, Deepika was seen suited up in a police universe, holding a gun in her hand. The gun was placed in a man’s mouth while Deepika had a sinister smile, and blood was seen oozing from her forehead and shoulders. Sharing the poster, Rohit had written, “Naari sita ka bhi roop hai aur durga ka bhi… Meet the most brutal and violent officer in our cop universe… Shakti Shetty… My lady Singham… Deepika Padukone.”
Meanwhile, Deepika Padukone is expecting her first child with actor-husband Ranveer Singh. The two announced their pregnancy in February of this year when Deepika shared an adorable poster with “September 2024″ written on it. The poster also had children’s clothes, toys, and balloons as the border. Deepika and Ranveer have been married for over five years now. She will soon be seen alongside Prabhas and Amitabh Bachchan in Kalki, 2989 AD.
