Official Character Poster Of Gautham Vasudev Menon From Mammootty's Bazooka Out

Mammootty is still going strong in the Malayalam film industry even after decades. He ended last year with the successful film Kaathal: The Core which had its heart in the right place and donned a completely different intimidating role in this year’s horror flick Bramayugam which has been running successfully. The veteran actor aims to continue the success streak with the upcoming Bazooka.

Deeno Dennis, the son of well-known screenwriter Kaloor Dennis, makes his directorial debut with Bazooka. When the first-look poster for the movie debuted last year, it created quite a stir because it showed Mammootty from the back, standing among a group of individuals holding guns, and it promised to be a chic and sophisticated action movie.

Earlier, it was widely reported that filmmaker turned-actor Gautham Vasudev Menon would also be appearing in the film alongside Mammootty. The news has now been officially confirmed with Mammootty officially welcoming Menon on board the project. The veteran actor shared the character poster of Gautham Menon on the occasion of his birthday on his X (formerly Twitter) account He revealed Gautham’s character to be named Benjamin Joshua in the character poster.

In the picture, Gautham Vasudev Menon can be seen sitting on a chair with a serious posture and look. He is wearing tan boots similar to those of the police which leads to speculations that he may be playing a cop in the movie. Shine Tom Chacko, Bhama Arun, Vasisht Umesh, Iswarya Menon, Sidharth Bharthan, and VK Prakash are among the other cast members of Bazooka.

Under the auspices of Theatre of Dreams and Yodlee Films, Sahil Sharma is producing the movie. Bazooka is anticipated to be released in theatres this summer, however, the producers have not yet disclosed a release date.

Meanwhile, Gautam Vasudev Menon’s own directorial Dhruva Natchathiram: Chapter One – Yuddha Kaandam with Vikram has long been delayed. The film, stuck in development since 2018, is expected to release sometime this year.
