Netflix To Split Arrested Development Season 5 In To Two Parts
The fifth season of sitcom Arrested Development is still on track to be made available May 29, though not all at once.

After five years' absence, Arrested Development is making its return through Netflix, but not in the streaming service's customary manner.

The first eight episodes will go live on May 29 as advertised, but the next eight are not now due until a later, unspecified date.

Arrested Development, set within and around the dysfunctional and once-wealthy Bluth family in Newport Beach, California, ran for three seasons from 2003 to 2006 before Netflix picked it up for a 2013 fourth season.

That fourth outing was re-released at the start of May as Arrested Development Season 4 Remix: Fateful Consequences, re-edited to more faithfully mirror the style of the first three seasons.

Season 5 retains the show's core cast of Jason Bateman, Will Arnett, Michael Cera, David Cross, Tony Hale, Portia de Rossi, Alia Shawkat, Jeffrey Tambor, and Jessica Walter, featuring Ron Howard once more in a voiceover capacity.
