Pen Studios recently dropped the Hindi trailer of Akhanda and announced that the movie will be available on YouTube for viewers on March 8. It was directed by Boyapati Srinu.

Nandamuri Balakrishna, a titan of the Telugu film industry, returned to the limelight in 2021 after a two-year hiatus, stunning audiences with a string of blockbuster hits. His resurgence commenced with the release of Akhanda, a film written and directed by Boyapati Srinu, marking the actor’s most monumental success to date. Akhanda soared to unprecedented heights, raking in over Rs 200 crores worldwide and solidifying its status as Balakrishna’s magnum opus. Such was its acclaim that the makers decided to release a Hindi version, capitalising on its widespread acclaim.

In a groundbreaking move, distributor Pen Studios announced the release of the Hindi version of Akhanda on the auspicious occasion of Mahashivratri, March 8, on YouTube, allowing viewers to enjoy the film for free. The trailer for the Hindi rendition was unveiled recently, generating significant anticipation among fans. Starring Pragya Jaiswal, Jagapathi Babu and Srikanth in pivotal roles, Akhanda boasts a riveting narrative underscored by Thaman S’ melodious compositions. Produced by Miryala Ravinder Reddy under the banner of Dwaraka Creations, the film was crafted with a budget of Rs 60-70 crore, showcasing a battle between virtue and vice, with Balakrishna portraying dual roles as Akhanda and Murali Krishna, while Srikanth essays the antagonist.

Amidst the fervour surrounding Akhanda, rumours abound of a potential sequel, fueled by the resounding success of the Balakrishna-Boyapati Srinu collaboration. Speculation suggests that Balakrishna will reprise his dual roles in the sequel, mirroring the prequel’s dynamic. However, the makers have yet to officially confirm the development of a sequel, leaving fans eagerly awaiting further updates.

Meanwhile, Nandamuri Balakrishna remains entrenched in his craft, currently immersed in the filming of his next venture, tentatively titled NBK109, helmed by KS Ravindra. Commencing shooting in November 2023, the project underscores Balakrishna’s enduring commitment to his craft, promising audiences yet another compelling cinematic experience.
