Munawar Faruqui DEMANDS Investigation In Poonam Pandey's Death, Says 'Mujhe Nahi Lagta...'

Munawar Faruqui has demanded an investigation into Poonam Pandey’s death. On Friday, the Bigg Boss 17 winner was speaking to a paparazzo in Mumbai when he expressed shock at Pandey’s death and argued that he felt there was some foul play. Munawar demanded a proper probe into Poonam’s death as he also remembered her as a “good human”.

“I heard about Poonam and am unable to process this. She was a very good human, a great human indeed. Uska heart bahut sahi tha. Main usko acche se jaanta hoon. Yeh sunke maine bahut ajeeb feel kiya. Subah se main bahut alag behave kar raha tha, process nahi kar paa raha tha, sach nahi hai yeh,” Munawar said.

The stand-up comedian shared that even though he had planned for a social media LIVE on Friday, he cancelled it because of Pandey’s death. “Mujhe nahi lagta yeh jaise sound kar raha hai…iske jaanch ho acche se,” he added.

Munawar Faruqui and Poonam Pandey participated together in Lock Upp season one. Even though Poonam did not win the show, she did expand her fan base with it. Munawar had emerged as the winner of Kangana Ranaut’s show.

On Friday, Munawar also took to his X handle to mourn the death of Poonam Pandey. “Shocking! can’t process the news Poonam was great human being. Sad. RIP,” he wrote.

Prior to him, Lock Upp host Kangana Ranaut also reacted to Pandey’s death and wrote on her Instagram stories, “This is so sad, losing a young woman to cancer is a catastrophe. Om Shanti.” Karan Kundrra, who was Lock Upp Jailer, also told Times Now, “Oh my god! I have no idea about this. How did it happen? It is very sad and heartbreaking news.”

Poonam Pandey passed away on Thursday, February 1. The news of her death was first revealed in a post shared on her official Instagram handle. “This morning is a tough one for us. Deeply saddened to inform you that we have lost our beloved Poonam to cervical cancer. Every living form that ever came in contact with her was met with pure love and kindness. In this time of grief, we would request for privacy while we remember her fondly for all that we shared,” the post read.
