Malayalam superstar Mohanlal wowed everyone at an award show in Kochi with his energetic dance to songs by Shah Rukh Khan and Rajinikanth. A video of his performance is going viral on social media. Mohanlal, 63, impressed with his dance moves, grabbing everyone’s attention, including Shah Rukh Khan’s. Taking to X, Shah Rukh Khan wrote, “Thank u @Mohanlal sir for making this song the most special for me now. Wish I had done it half as good as you. Love u sir and waiting for dinner at home as and when. You are the OG Zinda Banda!!!” And now, Mohanlal, too, has reacted to SRK’s comments.
Quoting the tweet, Mohanlal wrote, “Dear @iamsrk, nobody can do it like you! You are and always will be the OG Zinda Banda in your classic, inimitable style. Thanks for your kind words. Also, just dinner? Why not groove to some Zinda Banda over breakfast, too?”

Mohanlal’s dance was part of a special performance at the Vanitha Film Awards 2024. For the special performance, he was dressed in a cheetah-printed shirt and brown leather pants, reminiscent of his retro style from Jailer. Zinda Banda was written by Irshad Kamil, the song is composed by Anirudh Ravichander.
Meanwhile, Mohanlal and Shah Rukh often shower each other with love. Last year, on SRK’s birthday, Mohanlal took to X and wrote, “Happy Birthday, dear Shah Rukh Khan! May you be blessed with good health, happiness and success, always and forever.”
On the work front, Mohanlal will be seen in Kannappa, which also stars Prabhas and Akshay Kumar.
