Malaika Arora Talks About 'Finding Strength' After Arjun Kapoor Breakup, Father's Death: 'People Around Me...'

Malaika Arora recently dealt with troubled times in her life. She reportedly broke up with Arjun Kapoor earlier this year and then last month, she lost her father, Anil Mehta. Amid this, Malaika spoke about finding strength in a recent chat with GlobalSpa Magazine.

The Bollywood diva said, “You have to dig deep within to find strength. While my family, friends, and work are significant sources of peace and resilience, the people around me also play a crucial role in helping me stay grounded and strong. Their support has an immense influence on my ability to keep it all together.”

Malaika also has a close group of girlfriends – Kareena Kapoor, Karisma Kapoor and Amrita Arora – who are always seen by her side in her time of need. “Honestly, I would be nothing without my girlfriends. They look out for me, support me, encourage me, and keep me grounded. They are everything,” she said.

Malaika Arora and Arjun Kapoor reportedly broke up earlier this year. Previously, Malaika left fans concerned after she skipped Arjun’s midnight birthday celebration at his Juhu residence in June. She didn’t wish him on social media either, which led to speculation about their possible breakup. Later, Malaika crossed Arjun at an event when they ignored each other and seemingly confirmed their breakup.

As for her father’s death, Anil Mehta passed away at his Mumbai residence in September this year. Before this incident, Malaika Arora was in the Maldives for the cover shoot and chatted about wellness and lifestyle with the magazine. This is Malaika Arora’s first interview to be published since she lost her father in September.

Back then, Malaika issued an official statement and sought privacy from the media and well-wishers during the difficult time. “We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of our dear father, Anil Mehta. He was a gentle soul, a devoted grandfather, a loving husband, and our best friend. Our family is in deep shock by this loss, and we kindly request privacy from the media and well-wishers during this difficult time. We appreciate your understanding, support, and respect,” the statement read.
