The Met Gala 2024 was held at the historic Metropolitan Museum of Art in Manhattan, New York City on May 6. Celebrities, dressed to the nines, walked down the red carpet in gorgeous ensembles. From Zendaya to Camilla Cabello, Alia Bhatt to Isha Ambani — the who’s who of Hollywood and Bollywood dished out major sartorial goals at the gala night. But there were also a few celebs who skipped the fashion extravaganza for personal or professional reasons. One among them was Lilly Collins. Dropping a slew of pictures from her last year’s Met Gala appearance on Instagram, the actress expressed her sadness for skipping the annual affair.
“Happy first Monday in May! Looking back on last year’s Met Gala and looking forward to seeing all the gorgeous looks tonight from afar. Sad to miss it this year, but always cheering on my dream team. All the looks you’ll see tonight are the result of creative genius and collaboration, and I can’t wait to see their visions come to life,” captioned Lilly Collins.

The photographs took fans of Lilly Collins on a nostalgic ride to last year. The Emily In Paris star wore a custom-made Vera Wang gown, exuding old Hollywood glamour. The ivory-white strapless bodice featured a corset detailing. The plunging and structured neckline cascaded down into a dual tapered hem, adorned with trapunto stitch elements. Complimenting the long-flowy train. The word “KARL”, emblazoned in silvery letters, paid tribute to last year’s theme — Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty.
Lilly Collins accessorised her pretty-as-a-belle look with diamond jewellery. A retro hairstyle rounded off her Met Gala 2023 OOTD. In the snaps, Collins posed for the camera and admired the work-of-an-art ensemble.
Reactions were quick to flow in as the post surfaced on the internet. “Lily Hepburn or Audrey Collins?” complimented a person. Another called her the “queen of outfits”. “So sad you won’t be there but still so obsessed with this look,” noted a third individual.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Lilly Collins is ready for the release of Emily In Paris 4. The first part of the comedy-drama will premiere on August 15, followed by the second on September 12.
