Seoul’s COEX in Samsung-dong was overtaken by the glitz and glamour of the 60th Baeksang Arts Awards. The occasion honours the best achievements in domestic motion pictures and theatrical productions as well as broadcast, cable, and streaming TV content of that year. Fans were enthralled by the unexpected exchanges that transpired during the glamorous occasion. Among the event’s highlights was a fascinating interaction between two K-drama celebrities, Kim Seon-ho and Song Joong-ki, which had viewers wondering about the basis of their newfound bond.

The idols hugged each other and caught up, demonstrating their close bond. The fact that Kim Seon-ho and Song Joong-ki had not engaged in any public interactions before this awards event only served to pique viewers’ interest. Their impromptu and joyous meeting suggested a potential secret connection that had stayed hidden until that moment.

With this gesture, both celebrities attracted attention, but Song Joong-ki even sparked a bit of controversy. The Descendants of the Sun star seemed good-looking, radiant, and amiable in front of photographers. He finished off his look by giving a charming little heart-shaped gesture on his cheek.

It’s worth remembering that Song Joong-ki previously declined to do heart signs at events because he thought they were dull.

As per Kbizoom, he even admitted during a press conference for the K-drama Reborn Rich that he found this common gesture “boring”.

Consequently, Song Joong-ki caused a stir when he did the same thing at the 60th Baeksang Awards that went against his earlier remarks.

In recognition of their achievements on the silver screen, Kim Seon-ho and Song Joong-ki were awarded prizes for Hopeless and The Childe, respectively.

Song Joong-ki will star in the Netflix film My Name is Loh Kiwan, which tells the story of North Korean defector Loh Kiwan’s meeting, breakup and love with a lady who has lost her reason to live.

Meanwhile, Kim Seon-ho is preparing for the mystery drama Mangnaein, in which Park Gyu-young is in talks to join the cast.

He is also negotiating to be the lead in the Hong Sisters’ next drama Can This Love Be Interpreted? where he could work with Han So-hee once more.

An additional proposal has been made for Kim Seon-ho to have a cameo in the drama You Have Done Well, starring Park Bo-gum and IU.
