Several celebrities, including Kareena Kapoor-Saif Ali Khan, Anushka Sharma-Virat Kohli and Priyanka Chopra-Nick Jonas, are vacationing abroad this new year. Not the one to be left behind, Katrina Kaif too has flown to England to welcome 2019.
However, unlike most, instead of partying into the wee hours of the new year, the Thugs of Hindostan actor did something different. She took a dip in the English Channel with two of her girlfriends in 0-degree temperature.
Sharing a video and a photo of her experience, she wrote on Instagram, “Happy first new year day . location - the English Channel water temp-0 degrees Lessons for the new year - best to swim in sea in the summer months. 2 - listen to ur elders ( esp about swimming in the sea only in summer months ). 3 - never envy others , everyone has there own struggles , we are all in this together . 4 - try to keep your mind where your body is , not ahead of it or behind it (sic).”
On the professional front, the 35-year-old was seen in two big-budget films in 2018—in Vijay Krishna Acharya’s Thugs of Hindostan alongside Aamir Khan and Amitabh Bachchan, and in Zero with Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma. However, despite illustrious star-casts and big banners backing them, both the films failed to create a stir at the box office. Kaif will next star opposite Salman Khan in Ali Abbas Zafar’s Bharat.
