As the legendary Shashi Kapoor breathed his last on Monday, the entire film industry mourned the loss of the youngest of the second generation Kapoor brothers. The likes of Shah Rukh Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan, Salim Khan and Sanjay Dutt arrived to pay their last respects and to be with the Kapoor clan during the tough period.
Karisma Kapoor, who fondly calls Shashi Kapoor her uncle, bid adieu to the veteran actor-producer with an emotional Instagram post. She shared a photo which was clicked in 2015 when the thespian received the prestigious Dada Saheb Phalke Award for his immense contribution to Indian cinema.
She captioned the photo as, "Farewell Shashi Uncle #fondestmemories#rip"
The skies opened up on Tuesday when the romantic screen icon of the 70s and 80s was cremated with state honours at the Santacruz Hindu crematorium.
