Dharma Production head Karan Johar and CEO Apoorva Mehta made a joint appearance amid rumours that they are in talks of selling stake of production house to Saregama India. On Wednesday night, Karan and Apoorva were seen making their way to the screening of Jigra. The film stars Alia Bhatt and Vedang Raina in the lead. The film is co-produced by Dharma Productions.
In photos surfaced online, Karan was seen wearing a red jacket with a black shirt underneath. He styled the outfit with a pair of jeans. On the other hand, Apoorva was seen wearing a blue tee with jeans. Check out the photos below:
Earlier this week, it was reported that Saregama is in talks with Dharma Productions to acquire a portion of their company. As per The Mint, Saregama India Ltd recently acquired Pocket Aces Pictures and is now attempting to make a mark in the films and OTT space. The collaboration with Dharma will help them boost their content catalogue. The publication noted that the deal has not reached the final stages yet.
On Wednesday, reports claimed that the deal on the table is worth Rs 600 Cr. Sources informed B2B magazine, Exchange4Media, that Saregama “is believed to be close to acquiring a significant stake in Dharma Productions which is valuing at Rs 600 crore.” However, Dharma Productions and Saregama India are yet to react to the claims.
