Jeremy Renner Is Back At Mayor Of Kingstown Sets After Snowplow Accident: 'A Soldier Never Leaves The Battle'
Jeremy Renner starrer Mayor Of Kingstown season 3 will premiere next month on Paramount Plus.

Jeremy Renner is back in action! A year and a half after his snowplow accident, the Hollywood star is set to return with the much-anticipated third season of Mayor of Kingstown. Dropping a special video on social media, Paramount+ shared glimpses from the action-packed web series while confirming its release date. Promising more stunts and drama this season, Mayor of Kingstown 3 will premiere on June 2 on the streaming platform.

“More stunts. More drama. @jeremyrenner is back in business. #MayorOfKingstown season 3 premieres June 2, only on #ParamountPlus!” the caption read.

The video showcased intriguing clips from the series, primarily highlighting Renner engaged in intense stunts and action sequences as “new players and Russians” enter the fray. The MCU star will return as Mike McLusky, a member of a powerful family in the prison town of Kingstown, Michigan.

As the new clips suggest, pressure is building as Mika will stand against a new enemy in the face of the Russian mob amid the drug war raging inside the prison walls. Things will get even more complicated after a familiar face from the past threatens to undermine the Mayor’s efforts to bring peace.

Jeremy Renner Feels ‘Great’ To Be Back In Action

“Feels great to be back. We just went through a strike, and everything went through an accident. It’s nice to get the gang back together. A soldier never leaves the battle,” Renner says in the video. The actor also shared how he did some ‘violent’ stunt work. “It’s surprising that I was even able to attempt it, for me personally. I wasn’t sure I was going to be capable of it. No injuries, but I might’ve hurt Hugh’s feelings,” he joked.

Executive producer Hugh Dillon, who also plays a significant role in season 3, shared details about Renner’s return and the show. “From where Jeremy was to where we are now and watching what he does, it’s a joy to be part of it,” he said. Hugh also revealed that the actor did some of his own stunts and is a must-watch.

In addition to the candid details, Renner also spoke about what fans can expect in the upcoming season, including Russian power coming into play and Merle Callahan’s arrival as things get “bigger and more intense.”

“Everything about this show is a cinematic marvel,” they add.

Co-created by Oscar nominee Taylor Sheridan and Hugh Dillon, Mayor of Kingstown’s third season will also star Taylor Handley, Emma Laird, Tobi Bamtefa, Derek Webster, Nishi Munshi and Hamish Allan-Headley among others.
