Jacqueline Fernandez On Negative Media Amid Sukesh Chandrashekhar Case: 'I Never Fear Anything Because...'
Jacqueline Fernandez, embroiled in a money laundering case involving conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar, will be next seen in Welcome To The Jungle with Akshay Kumar.

Jacqueline Fernandez has opened up on how she handles being in the spotlight for negative reasons. In an interview with Harper’s Bazaar, she said what helped her the most was letting go of the need to be loved and realising this desire is an illusion we all face. This shift has kept her grounded and calm. This comes at a time she is trying to have the Enforcement Directorate’s (ED) FIR and supplementary charge sheet dismissed in a Rs 200 crore money laundering case involving conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar.

Jacqueline said, “Positives and negatives are always going to be there…But what has helped me the most is giving up this constant desire and need to be loved and realising that this is truly the last illusion we all have and that we all face. This is what has kept me free, humble, and calm.” Jacqueline said that she relies on her strong faith in God, which gives her strength and peace. Meditation has also helped her recognise genuine people, so she keeps her family and good people close. She added, “I believe in God, I always have. It’s an extremely strong force in my life. And because of that, I never really fear anything. I meditate often. Now I’m able to distinguish between right and wrong people, and I keep my family and good people close. I hold on to my ability to be empathetic as my superpower, and not a weakness.”

Meanwhile, in February this year, Jacqueline Fernandes accused Sukesh Chandrashekhar of using media as a tool to defame her image. She had also alleged harassment by the conman and had asked the court to file a case against him. However, the actress withdrew her plea later. Later, ED also contended before the Delhi High Court that Jacqueline was knowingly involved in the possession and use of the proceeds of the crime of Sukesh. The ED’s contention was made in an affidavit filed in response to Fernandez’s plea seeking quashing of an FIR against her in the money laundering case.

Jacqueline Fernandez’s upcoming films include Welcome To The Jungle with Akshay Kumar and Raveena Tandon and others and Fateh with Sonu Sood.
