Irrfan Khan who has over the years carved a niche for himself in Hollywood completes a decade in the West with his first debut international project ‘Warrior’ completing a decade in 2016!
One of the first few Indian actors who broke stereotypes in the west by choosing author backed roles that were offered till then not offered to Indian, Irrfan slowly carved a niche for himself in Hollywood. From playing a billionaire in ‘Jurrasic World’ to playing the detective lead in ‘A Mighty Heart’, Irrfan Khan grew strength to strength.
His international appeal contributed to the success of ‘The Lunchbox’, an Indian film that made waves globally earning him fans from countries where other Indian actors weren't known. He was also the first Indian actor to have bagged a role in an original HBO series called ‘In Treatment’ back in 2008.
The ace actor gave the biggest news last year with his role as Sam Masrani in the famous franchise film ‘Jurassic World’. The actor will soon be seen in Ron Howard's ‘Inferno’ along with Tom Hanks in October 2016 and an Canadian Japanese TV Show.
Expressing his happiness, Irrfan said, "Its an inexpressible feeling. I started with an experiment to break the Indian stereotypical image in the west and was accepted with open arms there. I am glad to be part of two most prominent cinemas of the world and would like to express my gratitude to my fans for appreciating me for my work."
